As the team steps into a new financial year. We kick off with a retreat in the start. There were many changes and postings and re-postings of people to places. Different departments also merge as one and the name changes as well.

We are initially called People's Association Sea Sports Club but now we have changed to People's association Water venture. The Sea sports has now merged with the land adventure team and we are one big family all under PA. If ur not familiar with the adventure team its the one that organizes the past Climb On! events in Singapore.

So now with the land and sea merge into one its like having the best of both worlds for me. I get to do both now. One of my ex-instructors ask me so do you all do camps? The answer is no no no ... although many schools especially has requested for this service but we do not provide that. We only provide the technical skills part. Like Rock-climb and abseiling whereby we work very closely with climb adventure and sea sports like windsurfing powerboating kayaking so on and so forth.

So if the teachers wants to have any camps with us we will outsource the outdoor adventure to training companies that do outdoor camps. WE DO NOT DO CAMPS! (Hi-light for ppl who reads my blog and tries to be funny)


Anyway the 2 days retreat was held at Grand Copthorne hotel which is just next to zouk. Many ppl has gone to zouk before but how many have went into this hotel? So heh heh .. i have taken many many photos so u can also take a look at the inside of the hotel.

GC hotel is a 5 star hotel even though it looks like its only 4 star to me. Even the food is only 4star as well but not bad la the deco of the hotel minus the room is about 4 star and plus abit. The room itself if i were to guage i will give a 3.5 star or at most 4 star lor. But it really doesnt look 5 star at all.

The team had our team-building activity in the function room.



Our task is to build a drawing bridge using only straws as our only materials and nothing else. It must be able to allow a toy car to drive across and draws up as a draw bridge when a ship requires to bypass.

The first one is built by my team.

Everyone shared their piece and gave in new opinions for the new financial year. Hopefully the new year for us will be a better year and many many more business to come.
